Last updated: October 2, 2026. These rules govern how rankings are computed on Bidboard.
Starting a new listing
New listings start at a minimum of $10 (1,000 cents).
If the #1 spot on the leaderboard currently holds more than $5, a new listing must pay at least that amount plus $5 to immediately take #1.
You may submit any new listing at any amount ≥ $10 without targeting #1.
Increasing an existing listing
Existing listings may be increased by any amount ≥ $1 per bid.
You are only charged the difference between the listing's current total and your new target total.
You cannot decrease a listing's total — bids are cumulative and irrevocable.
Taking #1
To hold the #1 position on any leaderboard, your listing's total must exceed the current highest competing listing's total by at least $5 (500 cents).
Rankings are never guaranteed while a payment is pending or processing.
Rankings are updated only after webhook confirmation of a captured payment.
Tie-breaking
Ties are broken first by the original confirmed listing placement order (earlier = higher rank).
If still tied (e.g. simultaneous confirmation), the listing with the lexicographically smaller UUID ranks higher.
This tie-breaking rule is stable and deterministic — no random ranking.
Leaderboard scopes
One confirmed payment contributes simultaneously to the All-time leaderboard and the UTC daily leaderboard for the day the payment was confirmed.
Category leaderboards use the same underlying payment records — no separate payments required.
Daily boards use UTC midnight boundaries. A payment confirmed at 23:59:59 UTC belongs to that day; one at 00:00:01 UTC the next day belongs to the following day.
Daily boards are archived permanently and are never reset.
Charges
You are charged only the increase, not your full target total.
Amounts are processed in USD as whole dollars. Internally stored as integer cents.
Maximum target total is $999,999 per listing.
The server calculates and validates every charge before checkout. Browser-side amounts are never trusted.
Quotes expire 15 minutes after generation. A new quote will be generated if yours expires.
Refunds and chargebacks
See our Refund Policy for full details.
Refunds are recorded as negative ledger adjustments. Affected listing totals are reduced.
Chargebacks are treated as refunds and may result in listing suspension.
Payment history is immutable — refunds create new records, not deletions.
Moderation
Listings may be removed for spam, adult content, illegal products, or impersonation.
Blocked listings are removed from public view. Payment records are retained for accounting.
Moderators may edit listing metadata (title, description, icon) without affecting payment records.
